Haunted Labs

Engineering formal algebraic game grammars, deterministic state-space combinatorial simulation engines, and local-first Model Context Protocol (MCP) infrastructure.

✦ Laboratory Charter & Manifesto

Replacing Lossy Clickstreams with Verifiable Algebraic Truth

For over twenty-five years, competitive digital trading card games have relied on fragile, opaque foundations: bloated browser DOM clickstreams containing 90%+ user interface noise, proprietary desynchronizing binary replay archives, and heuristic "rules of thumb" that collapse under rigorous combinatorial scrutiny.

Haunted Labs was established to bring enterprise telecommunication rigor, formal language design, and deterministic state-space computation into competitive gaming. We build open RFC standards, headless computation engines ("Stockfish for TCGs"), and air-gapped Model Context Protocol (MCP) data servers that allow both human grandmasters and autonomous AI agents to reason from mathematical ground truth.

The Four Research Pillars

01 · Formal Grammars & Open RFCs

Governed by RFC 0001 (YGN Standard). Engineered an algebraic, context-free grammar modeled after Chess PGN and FEN. Introduces deck-scoped card alias registries (#1..#40, #e1..#e15) and single-line 14-zone state snapshots (YBN), eliminating 90%+ UI clickstream noise with official reference parsers in TypeScript, Python, and Lua.

02 · Deterministic State-Space Simulation

Autonomous computation engine (ygo-sim-core). Models official Konami Fast Effect Timing (Boxes A–E), 4-tier SEGOC chain blocking, and conjunction truth tables. Employs Stockfish move ordering, greedy link-zone snapping, and xxHash64 zero-collision transposition tables to discover complex 20+ step playlines and execute 540-game ($10\times$ Swiss) Monte Carlo simulations.

03 · Air-Gapped Model Context Protocol (MCP)

Zero-network, local-first data architecture. Packages 13,000+ cards, verbatim Problem-Solving Card Text (PSCT), multi-format banlists, and multi-source tournament intelligence into embedded SQLite WAL databases, delivering sub-2ms query execution with 100% immunity to live web scraping rate limits.

04 · Game Theory & Bayesian Consensus

Eliminating regional reporting skew across Western Premier tournaments, Asian OCG championships, and Master Duel cups via sample-weighted Bayesian consensus:
S(A) = ∑(N_i * P_i(A)) / ∑(N_i)

Architecture & Interoperability Topology

Haunted Labs systems operate through clear domain separation: standards govern grammar, computation engines execute graph traversal, and local MCP data servers provide air-gapped ground truth.
